Bonnie Prince Billy came, Regina Spektor is on the plane, the Twilight Singers left a trail of weeping girls behind them. Israel is back on the world rock n`roll indie scene…but we don`t need big names to come, if you wanna feel a bit of 80s London just hear and see The Homesicks.

The Homesicks are a new wave/ funk-rock band and as part of the new Israelis-sings-in-English-bands. Their musical roots are somewhere from 80’s post-punk- new wave bands like XTC and Jesus and Mary Chain. If you want to use your imagination…this is how Minimal Compact would have sounded like if they were creating new music at this era… The Homesicks are a 5-piece band: Haim Cohen - Lead Vocals & Lead Guitar, Gal Hermoni - Keyboards, Billy levy - Vocals & Guitar, Omri Greenfeld - Bass, Yoav Lahav - Drums.

Their songs are full with dreamy guitars and drips of electronics, their music is so stirring and delightful that is just carry you away (to London).

You can hear the music at their MySpace and another song at Haoneg. A new album modes of production is here for you to buy !!

Go to see them live: March 15th at Levontin 7, Tel Aviv
