It’s happened at a rainy Friday afternoon, I sat at my home with my lovley cat, it was rainy and cold outside. like any typical single man at a situation like this I start to surf the net, maybe I will be able to relieve the boredom. After half an hour I fond my self at the same situation like any Jewish single boy - a personal card with a nice pic at JDATE.
At that Friday I had a date with an amazing nice girl.. she really was an amazing girl but I don’t way I had the feeling that a more amazing girl is just waiting for me at the site. At Saturday evening I had a date with another girl… and guess what??? you are absolutely right! she was also very beautiful and nice… but… still… I had the feeling the a more amazing girl is there between all the girls cards at JDATE.
It was going in this way for a several more weeks, then I fond that it became a full time job. I have lost all me instincts and fun in meeting/dating. After a little research I discoverd that I not the only one that suffer the same symptoms. The most of the mans and womans at sites like this had the same sickness! so… like the headline say - WHAT LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT???
The internet changed us and keep on changing us any minute. I’m sure that more many researchs are being written in this moment about the sociality influence of the web, but do we realy want that are love life will be infront the computer?? do we realy want to choose the love of our life like a product at eBay??
Yesterday I closed me card at JDATE - I love the web, I love me computer, I’m working with it and enjoy it, but….. WHAT LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT???
Put a nice clothing, get to the nearest pub, get a good beer, meet a nice lady, and have a lot of love…

“CRAZY LAND” - the Israeli candidate to the Oscar awards, the movie of Dror Shaol, is the story of Dvir Avneri - a 13 years old boy that grow in the kibbutz existence of the 70’s. Dvir is dealing with the mysterious death of his father and the insanity of his mother (in the great acting of Ronit Yodekviec). Additional to this Dvir need to deal with the importunity of the kibbutz society, with here conservative values, that in his eays (and the viewer eays…) contradictious with any human value. The movie present in a very convincing and funny way the kibbutz life, with the children house, the tasks, the bands, the military service value and of course the kibbutz meetings.
In a different with Dror Shaol old comedy movie “GRANNY OPERATION” (must to see…), the story here is the sad story of the director (Dror). Additional to this the movie show us a different point of view to the life at the kibbutz as we thought thay are.
The bottom line - a graet movie, exciting, reflective and a perfect winter movie…

Many of the resident and visiters at south villages, that during the time become citys (like Rehovot, Nes-Ziyona, Rishon-Leziyon), have been looking their place at the Israeli culture for a long time. The first that been cut off here culture of agriculture and wine was Rishon-Leziyon, that been blessed with a good clubes and pub’s scene. Lately have been developed a very interesting night live at Rehovot (much better then R-L….). Probably because the new wave of young students that start studying at the university (bio-technology…).
The first place you need to visit is the LA MORSE, that known as the IRISH PUB… for many years he was a very lonley place at town… The LA MORSE as existent since 1996 at the city center, and form 2000 near HERZEL pub and the MA pub the competitors. The main difference between the LA MORSE and the others is that the LA MORSE is a pub in the full mean of the word - its have a billiards table, 70s rock music, nice dimness, beer barrels as tables, guitars and ruck stars on the wall, enormous choice of whisky and of course some TV’s on the sport channel.
But the best thing is the company… the pepole at the LA MORSE are pepole that I would be happy to go out with them to a pub. Lately thay add a second floor - a little less successful. Anyway I will continue order my black label at the first floor…
My recommendation for the middle of the week is to sit back with a good beer and a very good sandwich of sausage & cheese ….
